1977 Triumph TR7

Classic car, very rare. Needs reconditioning. Body is in great shape, no rust through holes, a few small surface rust patches. Paint is faded. Interior cloth is trashed due to squirrels setting up residence. Needs new tires. Vinyl sunroof is in excellent shape. The car has been idle for many years. Carbs have been removed to be rebuilt but haven’t been and were not reinstalled. Carb rebuild kits included. It ran before the carbs were pulled. Service manual included. Custom trailer hitch towing bar included. I bought it in 2000 with intent to restore it, but haven’t gotten around to it and don’t have the time to do it. I hope that someone who has an appreciation of this classic would fix it up. Odometer shows 39,680.

$500. Listed in other places as well. Seller reserves right to cancel listing at any time. Car must go. Make an offer. Located near Saline, MI.

Photos available. Email for info.

It's a 1977 TR7, brown, 4 cylinder, dual Zenith carburators (I'm pretty sure that they're Zeniths), automatic transmission.

Exterior is in great shape for a car this old. It was stored indoors most of its lifetime, outside for the last 6 years or so. There are no rust holes at all, only a very few small surface patches. The vinyl top is in mint shape. The interior is bad shape. It's parked next to a walnut tree and the squirrels got in it to store nuts and nest. They tore up the seats and carpet. They are original and the car is 30 years old, so it would have deteriorated anyway. I don't think that they chewed up any wires, but can't guarantee it. It has an Alpine cassette player and speakers, but my guess is that the speakers are shot. The tires are rotted and will not hold air. The spare does, but the valve leaks a bit. I suspect that the gas tank and lines are gummed up by now. The paint is faded.

I bought it about 7 years ago with the intent to restore it, but never got around to it. I took the carbs off to rebuild them, but never completed it. The rebuild kits are included. The engine ran before I removed the carbs. I have no idea what shape the transmission is in. The car hasn't been licensed in 20 years.

It has 39,680 miles on the odometer. I'm pretty sure it's accurate. The history of the car is that my dad bought it from an estate sale in about 1982. He sold it to my brother right after that. He drove it for about 3-4 years, then stored it. I bought it from him 7-8 years ago.
