A celebration of Americana Roots Music
Every generation has its poets; the writers, musicians, and lyricists who capture the spirit and longings of their time. Those who give expression to our own personal memories and dreams as though they know us. They tell our stories, giving us the words we need to celebrate or let go. That is the soil in which singer/songwriter Drew Nelson has been toiling. Legendary songwriter John Gorka said "Drew's songs sound like the rest of us feel. His characters are anything but defeated. They are dazed, angry, amazed and climbing."
Opening for Drew will be Chris Buhalis. Chris will bring his well traveled brand of Americana roots music and original songs which paint an audio picture of the trials and struggles of the working man in everyday life. If Chris's songs sound like they would travel well in the dusty union halls, smoky honky-tonks, busy diners, and noisy factories of Americas working man, they do, and they have. These songs are as genuine and original as any penned by Hank Sr., Townes Van Zandt or John Prine. Chis is no fence sitter, his songs let you know where he stands, and in that way he is just like the people his songs chronicle.
Tickets $15.00 Adults $10.00 Students (8-18)
All concerts start at 8:00 pm. Doors open at 7:00 pm.
Tickets will be held in your name at will call the night of the concert.
You are welcome to bring a dish to pass for a pre-concert potluck!
You also may bring a beverage of your choosing to enjoy during the concert.
Comfy Couch Concerts is a casual, non-smoking, family friendly, concert venue that seeks to promote acoustic, roots-driven music of many genres including folk, blues, country, blue-grass, celtic, americana, world-music and more. Expect to hear from singer-songwriters that will make you laugh and touch your heart.
